LLE STEM

About

Leaders in Learning and Empowerment STEM is a student-run outreach club.

Mission

We help students build leadership skills by creating STEM presentations and hands-on activities for younger students.

Members choose subjects they are interested in, research them with a team, and learn how to explain them clearly. At our outreach events, elementary and middle school students get to ask questions and try activities for themselves.

The club also works with libraries, educators, and STEM professionals. Guest speakers and competitions give members more ways to learn about careers and develop their ideas.

How it works

Most projects follow the same four steps.

  1. ChoosePick a STEM topic the team wants to explore.
  2. ResearchLearn the topic well and decide what younger students should know.
  3. CreateBuild a clear presentation and a hands-on activity.
  4. PresentShare the lesson at an event and use feedback to improve it.
